Summer Haircuts

We took John and Ethan to get haircuts on Saturday. They both got a short "do" for the summer and seemed to enjoy watching themselves in the big mirror while their hair got cut. They look so much older with their hair cut short!

End of the Sickies...

Well, we've had a rough couple of weeks. The boys went back into daycare 2 weeks ago and immediately both came down with a cold. John managed to fight his off pretty well, but poor Ethan developed tonsilitis accompanied by a high fever. Wednesday night I check on him to find him burning up with a fever of 103.2. We gave him a quick dose of Tylenol, Daddy stayed home with John, and I rushed Ethan to the ER at 2:30am. By the time we finally were checked in and into a room, the Tylenol had kicked in and brought his fever down below 100 degrees. Once his fever was down, he laid his head down on the gurney and promptly fell asleep. By Friday, his fever was completely gone and he seems to be back to his old self. After 2 weeks of "the sickies", we're all happy to have a healthy household again!

I could never have imagined 2+ years ago what a wonderful father you would turn out to be. The kids love their daddy and your love for them (and for me) is so obvious. I can't thank you enough for being my love, my life, and the devoted father of our two beautiful children. I love you!
