Wild Weekend!

We had a wild weekend! On Friday afternoon, the boys were standing at the front window saying "turkey, turkey" ... sure enough, our neighbor's turkey, the famous "Tom" (survivor of 2 Thanksgivings) had gotten loose and was hanging out in front of our house.

Tom in our front yard ...

On Sunday morning, we woke up to 4-5 inches of snow! It was melting quickly, so we got the boys bundled up and made a toddler-sized snowman in the front yard. Wacky weather!

Haircuts

Ummm...Jason took the boys to get haircuts last weekend and he thought that their buzz cuts looked so cute, that he decided to get one himself. He hates it. I don't think it's his best look, but I love him anyway. I did have to ask him to please never do that again :). haha

Funny Boys!

The boys are talking so much lately and are such characters. We still use the baby monitor and every morning we hear them (on the monitor) talking when they wake up. Usually, we let them talk for a few minutes before going to get them...usually when the volume starts to rise and they start calling for us (they totally understand the baby monitor concept). The other Saturday morning, they were talking and Ethan started calling "Mommy, momma..."...after a minute or two, he then called "momma....I yuv you momma"...such a charmer :). Of course, that got me and I went up to their room right away. He was waiting for me at the door with a huge grin on his face, as if to say "i knew that would work like a charm".

On a not so cute note, Jason and I were playing with them outside on their swingset and John needed help off the swing. As I was helping him, his boot fell off. He said (in perfect context) "oh dammit". Uh oh...Jason and I just looked at each other and winced, but tried not to call attention to it for fear of the "I can see you don't like that, so I think I'll do it / say it some more". Guess we have to be more careful with our language :)...they are total sponges!
